Mobula Rays
It was the end of the day, around 3pm, when I saw a ray jumping out of the water quite far from our boat. My captain didn’t want to go and check it out. I managed to convince him and we got closer to the place where I had seen it. Then, multiple rays started jumping one after the other in different spots. I didn’t know what was happening as I wasn’t expecting a school of mobula rays in March and I had never seen one before. So I went in and found the school a few meters from me in the dark water. What an unexpected experience at the end of a quiet day!
